The mild climate and cosy central heating makes this the perfect base for relaxing off season holidays and short breaks, too. Honiton, a mecca for antique hunters, with a wide range of shops, restaurants, pubs and a twice weekly market, is only 5 miles away and there is a cosy pub in the village of Upottery, a mile away. The elegant Edwardian resort of Sidmouth, the delightful fishing village of Beer and romantic Lyme Regis are all under 20 miles.

Reviews
This is a very lovely place to stay. When we went it was Christmas and full of snow everywhere, it took as back to being in Lapland but at a fraction of the price. The staff were very welcoming and helpful if we needed anything. We're definitely going back in the summer 2011.

We would recommend this holiday as the location and setting was stunning. Very peaceful lodges made taking two small children away stress free. No specific facilities for children- which was fine by us. Loved not being near a road and could walk from lodge.
